Regarding the Renovation of the Park Office and Sewage System

 In order to be able to respond more ably to the needs of visitors and monkeys, the Snow Monkey Park is in process of renovating the park office and the sewage system. Due to this, there might be times when the park office facilities (the rest area, toilet and souvenir shop) are not open for usage until the end of November 2016. In addition to this, part of the forest trail to the Monkey Park is inaccessible because of construction of the sewage system. A detour route to the park is available for visitors.  

 We apologize for the inconvenience we have caused to visitors to the park during this period. We hope to have your understanding.

 Also, due to the abundance of nuts, fruits, etc. up in the mountains, the movements of the monkeys are unpredictable during autumn season. There will be times when they come to the park late or leave early. Around late autumn, the mating season also starts for the macaques so migration becomes even more unreliable. If the monkeys happen to not come to the park, the park will not be open for business. We can unfortunately not say around what time the monkeys will show up and there may be times when visitors will have to wait at the park without knowing whether the monkeys come to the park.

 The original nature of the park is to observe the Japanese Macaques and in order to function properly there is a necessity of renovating the park office and sewage facilities. We truly appreciate your kind understanding in this matter.

If possible, we would love to welcome you to the Snow Monkey Park after renovation is finished (1 December 2016 according to plan).

Revision of ticket prices:     With the renewal of the park facilities, the ticket prices will also be revised. Please visit our website for more information.
